Dallas City Council Meeting

The City Council Agenda meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month at 9:00 A.M. in the Dallas City Hall

Fort Worth City Council Meeting

The Fort Worth City Council meets each Tuesday. The first and second Tuesday of each month the City Council meets in the evening, 7:00 p.m. The rest of the month's Tuesday meetings are held at 10:00 a.m.

MASTERPLAN
Company Information

MASTERPLAN provides professional consultation to businesses, individuals, utilities and government agencies in all matters relating to land use, including zoning, subdivisions, building permits and other development approvals. Since MASTERPLAN was established in 1981, the company has successfully obtained thousands of governmental approvals for our clients. The firm also provides political consultation and representation for all types of local and regional government issues. The firm’s mastery of technical issues combined with its interpersonal communication skills and longstanding reputation of excellence makes MASTERPLAN a significant asset for its clients.

The firm’s practice is divided into three sections: zoning and land use, building code and permitting, and entitlement and lobbying. The largest portion of work remains zoning and board of adjustment work. This portion of the practice also includes due diligence and providing information to adjacent stakeholders on other zoning requests in addition to zoning requests on behalf of our clients. The building code section works to ensure timely approval of all permitting matters. The group also represents tenants and owners on issues such as required parking reductions and problems relating to certificates of occupancy. In many instances clients, including Energy Future Holdings (formerly TXU Corp.), DART, and the DISD, turn over the entire project to MASTERPLAN to obtain all approvals from the point of application through passing final inspection and receiving a certificate of occupancy. Finally, MASTERPLAN has successfully negotiated abatements and other entitlements from local governments for new projects as well as corporate relocations.

Our team consists of a racially and culturally diverse group of committed professionals that has obtained thousands of governmental approvals, abatements, and entitlements for its clients. Several staff members have held elected and appointed offices, including the firm’s founder, William Cothrum, who served on the Dallas City Council during the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. MASTERPLAN routinely gains approvals for complex projects form staff and then from boards and commissions, making council endorsement easier. We believe we can provide the same type of excellence for your clients. While most people can’t fight City Hall, MASTERPLAN specializes in doing it on behalf of our clients.
