diligence far in advance of the decision to locate in North Dallas.
American Airlines Center and Victory Development: The firm has obtained a variety of approvals from
local elected and appointed officials related to all aspects of development. Masterplan has garnered successful
outcomes on several zoning requests, late hours permits, landscaping special exceptions, and a special purpose
sign district—to name a few. The project has revitalized not only the sporting landscape of the city but also
created a vibrant mixed-use lifestyle center.
Pinnacle Park: Masterplan successfully rezoned a part of the city that had been blighted. The successful
development of the area has galvanized redevelopment of North Oak Cliff and West Dallas and spurred development
along Interstate 20.
Hunt Consolidated Headquarters and Rosewood Headquarters: Masterplan provided successful representation
for two signature downtown buildings. These projects will redefine the skyline that had not seen new construction
of this scale since the 1980s.
Dallas Independent School District: The firm first participated in the 1992 and 2002 Dallas Bond Programs.
Recently, the firm was chosen to represent the district in the 2008 bond program. Masterplan has provided zoning,
permitting, and platting expertise for over 100 campuses. Each zoning case was completed successfully and campuses
opened as scheduled.
The firm also provides zoning for a number of other educational entities including: St. Mark’s School of Texas,
Hockaday, the Richardson Independent School District, Shelton School, Dallas Academy, Greenhill School, Episcopal
School of Dallas, Lakehill Preparatory School, St. Anthony’s, Texas Torah, Jesuit, Solomon Schechter Academy,

numerous other locations in their system. The firm represented DART in all zoning and permitting matters, including
preparing applications, coordinating/negotiating with staff and making presentations before City Boards/Commissions and
Councils. The firm also helped expedite plats and permitting in order to ensure the timely completion of the line segment.
All zoning cases were successful. The firm has also been selected to provide similar services for the Denton County Transit
Authority.

transmission grid using wind power. Masterplan will provide zoning, platting, and permitting for electrical substations
and switching stations. The project includes work in more than 50 counties.
Oncor Electric Delivery: For more than twenty-five years the firm has successfully represented Oncor on transmission
line projects throughout the state. The firm has been successful in obtaining the necessary local approvals for every
substation and switching station requested. These projects have resulted in several hundred million dollars of upgrades
to the electric grid and have enhanced service and reliability for commercial and residential users. In this time the firm
has never been unsuccessful on a zoning request. Most recently the firm gain approval for the world’s largest Static Var

variety of uses and required working with three traditional neighborhoods and numerous condominium associations. The Glen
is designed to complement the Preston Hollow neighborhood, a gated community of 100 luxury single-family homes will connect
The Glen’s western boundary with existing neighborhood homes. On the east side of the development fronting Central Expressway,
will be a single 100,000 square foot mid-rise office building. The heart of the development will be home to a walking village

create one of the most vibrant, walkable areas in the region. The shopping, eating, and entertainment area provides a
critically important urban redevelopment that one critic calls the perfect type of place for the "creative class" of
people "to come here and put down stakes, that’s what it’s all about. It will never have anything to do with tollways
or Calatrava bridges. It will have everything to do with pathways."
